DAILY CONFESSION: Father Lord, I am eternally grateful for Jesus for taking my sins, debts, punishments, sickness, infirmities, and death. Thank You for all the benefits of the suffering, the crucifixion, the burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus that are available to me now. I thank You for making me Your righteousness, freeing me from the spirit of rejection and condemnation.
I thank You for accepting me in the beloved and for grafting me in to share in the nourishing roots of the olive tree [Romans 11:17-24]. Once, I was alienated from the nation of Israel, but now I have access through the blood of Jesus to the throne room of God where grace and mercy reign. I am now a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. I am filled with all the fullness of God and sealed with the blood of the everlasting covenant.
Without any shadow of a doubt in my heart, I know that answers to my prayers are guaranteed because Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, making intercession for me. Because of how God brought me into this new year, I know everything will surely work together for my good. I know that any spiritual foundation God has not laid in my life supporting all manners of spiritual wickedness is destroyed in the name of Jesus.
Father Lord, I am grateful for the new foundation that You have laid through Christ Jesus, upon which I am standing and will continue to stand. A foundation so solid and sure, a foundation that will support success, prosperity, fulfilment, peace, joy, and abundant life in the name of Jesus.
“If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.” - Mark 8:34–35
Jesus is making a staggering and counterintuitive claim here. He’s saying that seeking your own best interest will never work. He’s saying you will never find the peace, the satisfaction, and the life you’re looking for, by looking for it! He’s saying the only way to find what you’re truly looking for is to find it in Him. Again, in Matthew 6:33 ESV, Jesus makes a similar promise:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
